Now living in Atlanta, Mr. Clarks work with disadvantaged students in rural North Carolina and in inner-city Harlem has led to worldwide attention, including two Bestselling books, being named by Oprah as O magazines first "Phenomenal Man", and plans for a made-for-TV movie. Inspired by musics power to motivate his students to learn, Mr. Clark wrote the five rap songs and recorded them with the help of some of his former students. He then turned to production partner ImageMaster, to film video introductions to each song and create the interactive CD. "Adding the Enhanced-CD content not only enabled us to provide additional educational tools", says, Director of New Media Development, Craig Tollis. "It also allows Rons personal enthusiasm for kids and learning to come alive in more than 30-minutes of video and multimedia content." |

"Our goal was to create a product that would be easy to use and educational, but also very cutting edge, creative and exciting for both kids and adults. We were inspired by Ron Clarks commitment to reach all children by thinking beyond the tried and true methods and attempting something that had not been done before", says Account Director Jen Booth, who managed the project. A collaboration with graphic designer John Marcum produced an accompanying eye-catching booklet, complete with lyrics to each of the raps and pictures of Mr. Clark and his students. The Essential Raps is currently available at www.ronclark.info. |
