Atlanta, GA- ImageMaster television director and producer Dan Johnson and audio engineer and editor Craig Tollis recently returned from a trip to the Middle East where they shot footage for a documentary program that is currently in development. The crew traveled with a group of Atlanta church members on pilgrimage in the Holy Land. The group, from Atlanta’s Peachtree Christian Church, visited holy sites throughout Israel, followed by a trip to the ancient ruins of Petra in the nation of Jordan.

Tourism in Israel and the Middle East had fallen dramatically over the past five years, a result of the violence and tension between Israel and their Palestinian neighbors. Recent success in negotiations between the government of Israel and the PTA contributed to a more peaceful and safe atmosphere for tourists and pilgrims wishing to visit the holy sites and locations revered by Christian believers.
Johnson and Tollis documented the many locations central to the Judeo Christian faith, including Bethlehem, Nazareth, Caesarea, the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, Capernaum, Jericho, Mt. Nebo, and the Dead Sea, among many others. Johnson shot the footage with a Sony HDV format camera and is planning to develop a documentary detailing the emotional journey and experience of a once in a lifetime trip to the Holy Land.
